#6) Hitchcock

"Hitchcock" is AARP's pick for BEST GROWNUP LOVE STORY.  Personally, my choice would have been "Hope Springs".

Iconic filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock struggles with his marriage, the censors and the financiers of his 1960 film Psycho in this biopic. Driven to prove he still has an edge, Hitchcock crafts what would become one of the greatest thrillers of all time.

Cast:  Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Wincott, Jessica Biel, James D'Arcy, Ralph Macchio, Kurtwood Smith, Richard Portnow
Director: Sacha Gervasi

It's hard to imagine that Alfred Hitchcock would ever have difficulty getting any film made but apparently he did.  I think Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal) had to gain 100 lbs. to be in this movie.  I gave it 3.5 stars.

Next up: Quartet
