soooooooooo cute . . .

Happy Sunday Morning!  I'm at the farm this w/e to celebrate Memorial Day.  I'll be going to Florida National Cemetery today to visit Dad but before I go I have some cute stuff to share.

The other day, Andy shared that Momma Bird had decided to build her nest in the Mulee so I was anxious to see the nest for myself.  No kidding.  So cute!

This is the Kawasaki Mulee

This is the dashboard of the Mulee with the nest in the cubby hole.

The nest.  Two little peeps are in there.  Last night, when I peeked in all I saw were 2 little open beaks waiting for some food.  Not sure what kind of bird it is but Andy says it stays on the grass & hops around.  She's a tiny bird and her eggs are the size of jelly beans.  Any guesses? So cute!

Have to add a couple more pictures.
They are of the little birdes with their beaks open.  "hey Mom, I'm hungry!

It's been a while since my last post and I'm blaming everything on the . . .
common cold.  It all started last Thursday with a nagging cough.  Became a full blown nose-blower on Friday.  I spent most of Friday, Saturday & Sunday on the couch watching TV.  Dahli is one lucky lady that I was able to take her out so she could do her 'thing'.  Joyce volunteered to take her and so did Judy but I figured I had to force myself to at least do Dahli.

Went to the pulmonologist on Tuesday and he loaded me up with Prednisone and anti-biotics.  My colds are never just colds.  They are always bronchitis.  I should be out of the contagious stage shortly and I can once again join society.

I missed going to the Ray's baseball game on the Big Blue Bus yesterday and card Bingo tonight.  Joyce, bless her heart, is calling the game for me as I write this.

I'm off to visit and see what the rest of the world is up to.  Until next time, Ah-choo!

This Week . . .

I'm reading . . .
The massive orphan train exodus whisked three-year-old Teresa from the safety of her New York orphanage, where the worst thing the Foundling nuns did was wash her curly black hair, to a desolate house and cold-hearted "parents" in Kansas.  Mail-Order Kid looks at the orphan train movement through the eyes of one small child who yearns to know her "real" mother, survives a tortured childhood, and ultimately, as an adult, comes to terms with her past, her faith, and herself.

I'm watching . . .
When Walt Disney's daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers' "Mary Poppins," he made them a promise-one that he didn't realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine.

I'm cleaning . . .
the kitchen

The ladies here in Lake Bonnet Village will celebrate Mother's Day with a luncheon at the Garden Cafe on Friday.  That way we will be available for our families on Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day to anyone who happens to stop by.   Hope your day is as special as you are! Hugz!
