Sunday . . .

My Parish Church has started a Spiritual Adoption Program.  When they asked for volunteers, I signed up even though I wasn't all that sure about how this all works.  Turns out that all I have to do is say a special little prayer composed by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen daily.  Here's how it goes:
"Jesus, Mary & Josheph,
I love you very much.  I beg you
you to spare the life of the unborn baby
that I have spiritually adopted who is
in danger of abortion"

My spiritually adopted infant is named ROSE.

Here she is in the stage of development:
Your spiritually adopted baby has been quite active over the past month. Already, your baby is 10,000 times bigger than at conception. Your baby has developed the foundations of his brain, spinal cord, and nervous system by the 20th day. His/ her heart began to beat on the 21st day, pumping blood through its own circulatory system, and the blood type can be different from his/her mother. Your baby is most vulnerable during the next month of being aborted. Pray that the Lord of Life might move the heart of this mother to give him/her the most precious gift of all--the gift of life. Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I dedicated you..."

  1. What a wonderful thing for you to do! I pray that some day all the Roses and other tiny ones will be allowed to have a life. God bless.

  2. Wow that is wonderful Marge! I love that verse and plan to do a Bible journaling page on it. I really am enjoying my Bible journaling. Have a great week! Hugs
